Funded hours are hours that were introduced by the government offering 15 or 30 hours to support families in accessing quality childcare, giving children the best possible start in life.
There are several funding schemes available that help families access free childcare hours and reduce childcare costs. To check your eligibility go to gov.uk
We understand that every family has different needs, which is why we offer flexible scheduling options to fit your busy lifestyle. Whether you need full-time care or part-time care, we have a booking pattern that works for you.
Term-time funding provides access to your funded hours over a 38-week period each year. This means you are entitled to 15 or 30 hours of childcare per week during term time. Your child will not attend nursery during school holidays unless additional sessions are booked and paid for at the standard session rate.
Stretched funding allows you to access your childcare funding over a 50-week period each year. This means that your 15 or 30 funded hours are distributed across more weeks, providing approximately 12 hours or 22 hours per week respectively. As a result, your child can attend childcare throughout the year, with only two weeks not covered by funding.
If you are claiming working parents funding we just simply request a voluntary contribution which is towards meals and snacks. The voluntary contributions we request are:
Half day £5.50
Full day £10
